Hospitality – Sunday Morning

Description:

These are the often the unsung heroes of Sunday Mornings. This awesome group shows up early to help prepare for everyone else by unlocking doors and classrooms, setting out bulletins and offering plates and making sure to have coffee and snacks ready by 8 am. We are looking for people who are willing to provide a friendly welcome to Sunday morning services and offer a snack and cup of coffee. This group also helps keep our lobby clean and inviting by vacuuming and picking up trash between services.

Time Commitment:

  • Flexible schedule

Welcome Flags

Description:

By putting out the flags Sunday morning, you will be helping to create an inviting atmosphere and the flags are eye catching to let people know services are going on. After services, you will take the flags down and put back into storage.

Time Commitment:

  • It takes about 10-15 minutes to setup and take down the flags. There are two
different times that we are looking for help.
  • Setup: 8:15am
  • Take Down: 10:45am

Parking Lot Assistants

Description:

Parking lot assistants are here to provide a friendly wave to welcome people as they pull into the parking lot, give direction and help people find parking spaces. They greet people as they get out of vehicles and make their way into the building.  On rainy days we might ask you to meet people at their cars with an umbrella and escort them in.

Time Commitment:

  • One service time (8:30-9:15 or 10:00-10:45) once a month.

Pastor Adam

Door Greeters

Description:

All you have to do is smile and provide a friendly welcome, as you open the doors for people entering the church. If you don’t recognize someone, check if they are new or if they need help finding anything as they enter.

Time Commitment:

  • One service time (8:30-9:15 or 10:00-10:45) for one month

Coordinator:

Angie Sparks and Pastor Adam

Welcome Desk Greeter

Description:

Welcome Desk Greeters are there to help answer questions about the church and what is going on. They welcome new guests, give them connect cards, gift bags and make sure they know where the bathrooms and kids check-ins are. We often refer to the welcome desk in our announcements, so new people know where they can go to get answers. This group also helps keep the welcome desk clean and free from getting cluttered, making it a warm, inviting area for guests.

Requirements:

  • Keep up on what is going on within the church, so you can answer questions.

Time Commitment:

  • One service time (8:30-9:15 or 10:00-10:45) for one month

Coordinator:

Pastor Adam

Ushers

Description:

Our ushers usually stand at the back of the sanctuary before services and greet people as they enter. It is their job to keep an eye on seating and  help late arriving guests find seats. Some times they might need to encourage people to move to the middle to make seating easier if the Sanctuary gets too full. Ushers also help with taking up the offering in each service.

Time Commitment:

One service time (8:35 or 10:20) each week.

Coordinator:

Pastor Adam

Worship Center Assistant

Description:

Since we have multiple services each week, it is important to make sure that the worship center stays clean for the next service. As a worship center assistant all you have to do is stay after the service ends for a couple minutes and make sure any used bulletins, papers, trash or coffee cups get picked up before the next services.

Time Commitment:

  • 5-10 minutes after the 8:45 service

Coordinator:

Pastor Adam
